With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and nonno on March 6, 2021, at the age of 84.
Francesco was predeceased by his parents Gabriele and Luisa Leone and survived by his loving and devoted wife Raffaella of 58 years. He is survived by his sister Maria (Carlo) in Italy, his children Gabriele (Rosina), Luisa, Cynthia (Chris), his grandchildren Amanda (Chris), Matthew, Brandon (Sara), Maria (Anthony), Rosanna (Brad), and his great-grandchildren Valentino, Camilo, and Kaylee.
Francesco was born on May 16, 1936, in Molfetta, Italy, and immigrated to Canada when he was 33 years old. He worked multiple jobs to give his family the best possible life. He was a hard worker and devoted his life to his family’s happiness. Francesco loved to fish and camp at Birch Bay with his family and friends. He always enjoyed laughing and joking with his family and friends over a nice glass of his homemade red wine.
Francesco had a heart of gold, always helping anyone who was in need. He was an incredibly strong man right to the end. He never complained or wanted to burden his family with any pain or suffering. He always had a smile on his face and kept joking in his own beautiful way right to his final days (here’s to you Dad “BeeBoo”).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Mass of Christian Burial will be a private Service but will be live-streamed on March 17, 2021, at 9:30 am PST., the live stream link is below.
