Pre-deceased by her beloved husband William John in 2007, her grandson Jack in 2015, as well as her brothers Jack, Julian, Joe, and sister Terry. She is dearly missed by sons James Stephen (wife Bonnie), Robert Russell (wife Andra), grandchildren Kristen, Aaron, Adriana, and Dylan, in addition to many friends.
Frances was born in Winnipeg Manitoba. She grew up close to her siblings and was a very independent woman for her time, traveling on her own and buying the first family car. She was active playing softball and won trophies in 10 pin bowling.
She married John in 1959 and gave birth to Jim in 1967 and Robert in 1971. The family moved to Vancouver in 1972, finally settling in North Delta in 1972. She worked as the Church receptionist at Immaculate Conception parish for over 20 years, supporting the priests and parishioners.
Frances was a dedicated wife and mother sacrificing her free time for taking the boys to hockey and softball. She made friends easily and enjoyed the times the families got together.
Her most recent treasured memories all involved her grandchildren.
Frances' later years were spent at Morgan Place where she was a bright and positive person while interacting with staff and other residents. She was active with bingo, pub night and painting. She created fantastic water-coloured paintings which she freely gave out.
