Fernando Dutra passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in Vancouver, BC at the age of 74.
Fernando was born on Sunday, February 6, 1949, in Castelo Branco, Horta, Açores, Portugal to his parents Manuel Martins and Maria Madalena Pinheiro.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years Maria Noelia and two daughters, Sylvia and Sarah; in addition to, numerous siblings and relatives who live in Canada, USA, and Portugal. Fernando’s presence and mischievous smile will be endlessly missed, but the memories we all shared together will be forever cherished in our hearts. We love you always and forget you never!
Prayers will be offered on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish 1423 East 13th Avenue, Vancouver; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Pierre Vertus. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery (Fraser Street between 33rd Avenue and 41St Avenue).
