Ethnea Kathleen McAleese

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethnea Kathleen McAleese on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She passed peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Anthony, her son in-law Al, her daughter Diane and many other relatives. She is survived by her sons Tom (Nelia), Brad (June), her daughters Debbie, Jodi (Len), her grandchildren Jacob, Shane, Matthew, Joshua, Michelle, Stephanie, Adam, Sammy, Nathan, Emma, and Hannah and her great grandchildren Aurora, Levi and Monro. Ethnea was born on February 27, 1936 in St. Brides Alberta where her family immigrated from Ireland. She was the tenth of ten children born to the Bell family. She was a hard working woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Till the day she passed she put the needs of everyone else above her own. She will always be remembered as a sweet, caring, nurturing and loving person. We are thankful that her suffering has ended but will miss her dearly.

All services will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery with the Visitation occurring at 10:30 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am and interment to follow. Reception will be held at the De Julius home.
