Brown, Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret
August 14, 1915 - October 27, 2018
On October 27th the world lost an amazing woman. Betty passed away peacefully in her care home Blenheim Lodge. Betty was born in Calgary to Mary and Leo Seymour and moved to Vancouver when she was 8. She married Ernie Brown in 1942 and they had a wonderful loving marriage of 64 years until his passing in 2007. They had 2 children Doug (Linda), and Barbara who passed away of cancer in 1986. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren Easton (Andrea) and Matthew, nieces Anne and Pam (Rick) and great-niece Justine. Betty was always close with her sister Isabel, who was 13 months older than her. They are lovingly remembered for bickering with each other and always being by each others side. They lived in the same care facility until Isabel’s death in 2013. Betty enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing card games, gardening, baking and she loved animals. Ernie and she enjoyed many amazing golf holidays around the world. She was very involved with her Parish the Immaculate Conception and the Dunbar community. She will be remembered as being the best mom, wife, grandmother or friend ever. Her funeral will be held on November 16th, 11am at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 West 28th Ave, Vancouver. There will be a small reception afterwards at the Parish Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blenheim Lodge, who took such great care of her. 3263 Blenheim St, Vancouver
