Elise Kaulfuss (Eisele), 84, of New Westminster passed away on August 7, 2013. Predeceased by her husband Ernst (1994), Ellie will be greatly missed by her sons Herbert (Kim Walker) and Roland (Bibiana Tomasic); as well as by her grandsons Erich (Tomoko Masuyama), Alex (Liz), Edison, Oliver, Anthony, and Peter; and by great-grandchildren Alexa and Chiune. A loyal friend, Ellie enjoyed attending morning aquasize classes with the regulars at the YWCA. She also liked watching sports, reporting on the latest current events, and gardening. She loved all the dogs that were part of her life. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren with whom she shared her love and time most generously. Born and married in Germany, Ellie and Ernst immigrated to Menasha, Wisconsin in 1955 where they raised their sons. She was a long time employee of St. Elizabeths Hospital in Appleton. In 1986, after retiring, Ellie and Ernst packed up and moved to New Westminster, BC. She taught us how to grow things, how to get the job done, how to keep marching through all kinds of weather and how to love unconditionally. A memorial service will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 701 Sixth Street, New Westminster, BC on Thursday, August 15th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to The BC Cancer Foundation.
