Elisabeth Cornelia Maria Schwerdtfeger (born Hofmann) passed away peacefully on November 15, 2019 in Vancouver at the age of 84.

Elisabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Frederick Schwerdtfeger. She is survived by her loving children, Annette (Clément Gosselin), Denise (Christian Chauret), Tom (Jennifer Slater) and Patrick; her cherished grandchildren, Marie-Joëlle and Alexandrine Gosselin, and Renaud and Eric Chauret; her dear brother Peter (Ursula Hofmann-Dirr), and sister Margrit (Walter Bachmann); as well as many beloved cousins and nieces and nephews.

Elisabeth was a resident of Vancouver since 1963 and was a well-loved piano teacher for 15 years. She enjoyed playing recorder with her friends and playing the organ at Sunday mass. She also gave excellent tours at the Museum of Anthropology.

A visitation will take place on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Kearney Funeral Services, 450 West 2nd Ave., Vancouver, BC. Parking available behind the Olympic Village Skytrain Station, 595 West 6th Ave., Vancouver.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle church, 5457 Trafalgar St., Vancouver, BC.
