And 3 Great grandson’s Jeremiah Clarke, Zeno Clarke Garrott, Jagger Gentile.
Elin is also survived by two of her four brothers Paul Sigmundson and Erik Sigmundson.
Elin was a kind, honest, loving, encouraging mother. She was a woman of many passions including opera, theater, and a lover of all the arts, a writer, a voracious reader, a huge tennis fan, and enjoyed flower gardening. A top favorite of her grandchildren were the worry dolls she made for them. (Little dolls that carried your worries for you).
She was a great cook and could whip up enough food for an army.
She entered the workforce a few years after her sixth child. She did so many different jobs, secretary, office admin, office support for a land developer, Real Estate Agent, a paper editor, and owned a flower shop.
When she was admitted to Bradden Hospital some 8 yrs ago she thought she worked there, she carried around a clipboard and regularly answered the phone. We would tell her “Mom you don’t work there”. But the feisty character that she was, she did not let it stop her, she thought it was her job to take care of everyone there.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Bradden hospital for their care and compassion.
For all whom loved her dearly, we will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace, zest for life, and her steadfast love and care for each and everyone!
Pom Pom your job/work here is done. Elin received a sort of job offer, it’s one that you can’t refuse, from which she will not be returning. The best part of this new position it comes with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends, and pets she has not seen in a long time.
An intimate celebration of life will be held in Pemberton on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Susie‘s place.
If any family members are interested in coming please RSVP on FB messenger to Bridget or Susie.
Please note that due to Alexander’s health risks, we ask that anyone wishing to attend be fully vaccinated.
Thank you!
