Eileen Telford died peacefully at home on September 17th, surrounded by love and family. Born on April 27, 1933, in County Wexford, Ireland, she was the youngest of six children. After spending some time in London, Eileen immigrated to Canada in 1957. Originally settling with her sister Marie in Medicine Hat, her adventurous spirit eventually led her to many places, including Norman Wells, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, and White Rock.

Eileen leaves behind her beloved daughter, Carmen Ryujin (Steve), and her cherished grandchildren, Zach, Kaiya, and Claire. She was predeceased by her wonderful daughter, Kerry Telford Morrissey (Patrick), and beautiful granddaughter Sarah.

Eileen lived her life full of faith, kindness, and just a wee bit of Irish determination. She was a woman who faced life’s challenges with grace, always finding moments of laughter and joy along the way. Reading the newspaper end to end every day, she always enjoyed discussing current events over a cup of tea. Eileen loved a friendly card game and had many wonderful memories of playing bridge and crib with friends and family.

Eileen was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a friend to many. She was known for her gentle and generous spirit. Eileen will be fondly remembered by all those whose hearts she touched with her warmth.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Vancouver Coastal Health Community Care team, especially Tara and Jen, for their excellent care.

A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at the Teahouse in Stanley Park on October 4th from 11:00am – 1:00pm.  Please RSVP to teahousersvp@gmail.com.

In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Eileen's generous spirit, please consider a donation to Chalice to continue her legacy of helping children in need.
