Eileen May Rowlatt (nee Currie) of Crescent Beach, passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2009 at the wonderful age of 94 years.
Eileen was born on July 26th, 1914 and was predeceased by her father, Samuel John Currie and her mother, Jeannie Currie (Harvey).  She was also predeceased by her husband Bill in 1973 and son Paul in 1938.  She is survived by her daughter Patricia Busst (Jack) of Calgary, Alberta and their children Bill Busst (Michelle) and Pamela Smid (Bryan).  And she is survived by her daughter Linda Barron (Bill) of Crescent Beach and their children Patrick, Allison and Kate. As well she leaves her two precious great granddaughters Paige and Madeline Smid and her dear cousin Doreen Harvey.
Eileen was a retired nurse and graduate of the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster and served on their Board of Directors for 19 years.  She was a member of the executive for many organizations including Red Cross and the B.C. Safety Council.  Her long life included many wonderful memories of traveling with Bill and spending her sunset years at her beloved Crescent Beach surrounded by countless dogs and cats who always knew they had a knee to sit on and someone who would love them unconditionally.    No service by request and no flowers.  Donation may be made in Eileen’s name to the SPCA.
