FRESHWATER, Edwin Charles Noel:  December 25, 1924 �" September 12, 2009.

It is with great sadness the family of Noel Freshwater announces his passing September 12, 2009, at George Derby Care Centre, Burnaby, BC.  Noel was a resident of the George Derby Care Centre for the past 4 ½ years.
Noel is survived by his brother, Walter, son, Bob (Diane), daughter Linda (Jim Black), Grandchildren Lisa (Wes Lowenberg), Scott (Corinne), Kathy, and Kimberly (Brian Wright):  Great-grandchildren, Josh, Taylor, Hailey, & Lauren, and countless ‘family members’ and friends.
Noel is pre-deceased by first wife Laura, second wife Dorothy, brother Alec, and Grandson Donald .
Born December 25, 1924, in Epping, Essex, England, Noel was raised in the area of Duncan, BC. When of age, late in WWII, he enlisted in the RCAF and became a ‘Lancaster Tail Gunner’.  Once returning from action abroad, Noel settled in the lower mainland, raising a family, and excelling in a career as a sheet metal worker.
Noel enjoyed life in the outdoors �" hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, camping with the family.  Noel was involved in many Fraternal Organisations, and Lodges in his lifetime, as liked to help those in need.
Noel’s family would like to sincerely thank all staff and care-givers at George Derby Care Centre, who made his last years comfortable.
The last line in Noel’s RCAF Log Book says it all �" “HOME, THANK GOD”.
