With his family by his side, Earl passed away peacefully surrounded by love. He was predeceased by his wife Aline of 57 years.

Earl grew up in Sapperton, B.C. where he lived with his parents and siblings. He was the middle of 3 children. His father passed away when he was just 17 years old, so when Earl started working at Fraser Mills, he helped his mother by paying for some of the household bills. He also put himself through University while working there. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1958 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and started working as a Chartered Accountant at Chadwick Potts and became partner.  It is there where he met the love of his life Aline. The company later became Touche Ross.

Earl and Aline were married on May 12,1962. Together they raised 3 children, Ray (Jan), Anita (George) and Carmen (Kevin). They also had 4 grandchildren, Craig (Madison), Leah, Lindsay (Eddie), Courtney (Mike), 5 great-grandsons and one great-grandchild due this summer.

Earl was a loving and caring father, Pepere and Grand Pepere. Earl was always willing to lend a hand when anyone needed it. He helped with many projects around our homes and always gave great advice. Many of his most fond memories were time spent at the cabin at Osoyoos lake. Earl enjoyed taking pictures and videos of everyone at all of the family birthdays and events. It is because of him we will have so many memories to visit in albums and videos and for that we are truly grateful.

Earl enjoyed travelling with Aline over the years. Hawaii, Palm Springs, Mexico and Italy just to name a few. They also made a cross country road trip with his in-laws across Canada. Earl and Aline also spent time in Apache Junction, Arizona where they had purchased a trailer. Two of Aline’s siblings also had trailers there and they enjoyed their time there in the winter months square dancing and being in the sun.

In his earlier years, Earl was active in his church as a Knights of Columbus member, Grand Knight, a reader and Eucharistic Minister. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of Fatima Church parish. In his younger days he also enjoyed woodworking and fishing trips with friends.

Earl was a kind and humble man. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Gentle man. He was respected by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Catholic Mass for Earl will occur on February 6th at 1:00pm.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral is sadly by invitation only.  It will be available by Livestream on Our Lady of Fatima Church’s YouTube channel .

A eulogy and memorial video of Earl will be posted here .
