Duncan beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away in Vancouver B.C., at the age of 95. Forced by the circumstances of the Great Depression, he left school at age 14 to help support the family. Undeterred, Duncan dedicated his life to learning, creating, inventing, strategizing and caring for family. He carried this rich spirit into every conversation and relationship to the end of his life, with limitless energy and persuasiveness. A true renaissance man, he excelled in so many areas, from math to finance and engineering, and from art, to music and appreciation of life’s fleeting beauty; answering the many challenges throughout his life with determination, forbearance, unshakeable faith, and prayer. Duncan is predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Helen, his daughters Ellen and Theresa, and Ellen's son Stacey. Duncan is survived by his sons Neil (Judy) of Calgary, Bruce (Minako) of Vancouver and Ian of Vancouver and by his daughter Brenda - aka Gabriel (Patrick). Duncan is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren and could always be counted on to remember each of their birthdays and anniversaries.
