Declan, born in Monaghan Ireland,  went to join God in Heaven on February 2 2014 at the age of 69 in North Vancouver. Predeceased by his mother and father, Nora and Thomas Lawlor, his brother Kieran (Mary), and his grandson Daegan. He will be sorely missed by the love of his life, Denise, his children, Declan (Jillian) and Tanya and his grandchildren, Finn, Declan, Alexandra, Saoirse and Liam, and his brother, Michael and sisters, Irene, Marita, Geraldine along with many dear loyal friends.

Dr. Lawlor dedicated 36 years on staff to Children’s Hospital and set up the dental department at Sunny Hill Hospital for children. He was also a member of the Lion’s Gate Hospital board. He was a member of the AACP (American Academy of Craniofacial pain) and a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute of dentistry. An advocate of Pro-Life, Dr. Lawlor stood strong in his belief of speaking for the unborn and those without a voice.

Declan devoted his life to his family, his work in dentistry, and his Church. He always said that he was blessed in this life as he enjoyed each day to its fullest. A husband, father and grandfather, Declan exceeded in each role and his departure will be felt forever.

Prayers will be said Thursday February 6 2014 6:30pm at Christ the Redeemer Parish 599 Keith Road, West Vancouver where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday February 7 2014 at 10:30am, Msgr. Gregory Smith celebrant. Internment to follow at Capilano View Cemetery 1490 3rd Street, West Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully acknowledged to Pro-Life.
