Don passed away very peacefully with his family by his side. “Dyno”, as he was affectionately called, was born in Vancouver and grew up in Tynehead. He married Carol Krayachie in 1946 and they settled in South Burnaby where they raised their family. He was predeceased by his parents Natalie and Alec Eyton. Survived by his loving family, love of his life, wife Carol, son Allan (Wanda), daughter Janet Dupuis (Chris), , adoring grandchildren Taryn (Greg), Laurel, Heather, Clayton and Nicolas, his sister Gladys Slotylak (Ed), brother Raymond (Jane). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Don was a guitarist and singer from an early age and enjoyed performing at various functions as well as seniors' homes. He was a long standing member of the Western Swing Music Society. His "real" job was building bridges and docks, landmarks of today throughout B.C. He will always be remembered for his light heartedness, nicknames for his favourite people, sparkling blue eyes, making the perfect cup of coffee, his Mr. Fix It workbench and his inimitable sense of humor, making people laugh wherever he went. We sincerely thank our family, friends and Drs. Foggin and Cisternas for their remarkable support. Special thanks to Dr. Kwan, nurses Linda and Tanya and the staff of 3C at Burnaby General Hospital for their compassionate care.
We will miss him forever.
