Don Benson passed away peacefully on May 17, 2018 in his home with loving family by his side. He will be sadly missed by sister Patricia (Bruce); nieces Yvonne (Ian) and Laura, nephew Mark, and their children Brendan, Olivia and Chase; and his sister-in-law Marge.

At Don’s request, there will be no service.

If you’d like to celebrate Don’s life, and the kindness and humour we will all miss, some suggestions: take a bird-watching stroll through Boundary Bay or visit UBC Botanical Gardens and admire his favourite blue rhododendron (along the David trail in the David C. Lam Asian Garden), gaze in wonderment at the universe beyond the stars or the tiny flower at your feet, pick up that book you’ve been planning on reading, or raise a glass of craft beer.
