It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our amazing Father, Domenico Fusaro. He passed away peacefully at the age of 93 yrs. on February 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Domenico was born in Bitonto, Bari, Italy. His family moved to Loseto, Bari when he was a young boy and that is where he met the love of his life, Vittoria (nee Demichina). They married in 1955 and immigrated to Canada in 1958. They raised their 3 daughters, Lia, his “Joy”; Teresa, his “Little Treasure”; Rita, his “North Star” in Burnaby, BC.
We are very proud of all our father’s accomplishments and successes, especially, his hardworking years on the railway, as he worked his way up the ranks and retired as a Roadmaster.
Domenico is predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Vittoria and many other relatives. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lia (Domenic), Teresa (Kon), Rita (Danny) and his grandchildren, whom he adored and was immensely proud of, Anthony, Victoria (Donna), Stefano, Danita, Caterina, Brianna (Ben), Daniella. He will be remembered by his sister-in-law, brother in laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, near and far.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 11am at Saint Michael’s Parish, 9387 Holmes Street in Burnaby. Entombment will follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.
