It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Divinia "Bing" Soria Hintay. She passed away peacefully on May 15, 2021 with her husband by her side.
She was the youngest of the 4 children not including the adopted brother. She was predeceased by her parents, oldest sister, brother & adopted brother. Survived by her husband Jessie, sister Barbara, sister-in-law Digna, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 grand nephews, 1 grand niece & one on the way & cousins.
Bing was born, educated and worked in the Philippines until she emigrated to Canada in 1994. She met her husband through a mutual friend and they were wed in the Philippines. Bing worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for many years until her retirement in 2019.
The Hintay/Soria families wish to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of Richmond Hospital and the Salvation Army Rotary Hospice for taking care of Bing during her sickness.
A private funeral will be held at St. Patrick's Parish Vancouver, BC. Due to public health restrictions, the funeral mass will be limited to a small number of invited family and friends. Cremation to follow. Bing's ashes will be taken home, at a later date, to the Philippines to join her parents and relatives.
