Our beloved Dennis (“the Menace”) passed away on July 11th, 2019. His passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by family, including his beloved wife of 47 years, Maureen. He is already greatly missed by his sons Matthew (Megan) and Marshall (Kristina), his daughter Shannon-May (Scott) and his two grandsons Maxwell and George, who he adored so much. He also leaves behind a large and loving community of family and friends, including his dear sister Tracy (Stan). Dennis is predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Hazel, brother Gary, and sister Carolyn Itter. He was 73 years old and still so full of life.

Dennis had a unique gift of making friends wherever he went. He loved without apology and hesitation. He was guided by a genuine concern for the well-being of others and never let the fear of imposition prevent him from offering a helping hand or striking up conversations with strangers. He was never great with words, but through practical acts of service, he showered his family, friends and neighbours with love and acceptance. His greatest hope for others was that they were happy and settled in their lives. A shining star on earth is now an angel in heaven.

A celebration of life will be held at Langley Golf and Banquet Centre (21550 44th Avenue) on Sunday, July 21st, 2019, beginning at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to Melanoma Research Canada.
