David B Martin (September 20, 1960 - August 11, 2013)

Peacefully, after sudden illness, surrounded by loving hearts. A brilliant strategist and negotiator, Dave devoted his life to campaigning for justice and advocating for workers’ rights. His was a true heart determined to secure a better world. A collaborative, generous, and inspired leader at the Health Sciences Association of BC. Lifelong passion for baseball, jazz, union activism, the NDP, fine cuisine, ocean kayaking. For more than 18 years, shared a deep romance and joyful adoring bliss with his beloved partner Yukie Kurahashi. He missed his wonderful dad, Dave Martin Sr, whose footsteps he followed in vocation and whose heart he followed in gentle courage. Loved his mom Evelyn Martin, brother Paul, parents-in-law Mitsue and Dan Kurahashi, siblings-in-law Juneko Kurahashi (Mike Squance), Elina Kurahashi (Jonathan Mewis), niece Mika and nephews Kaito, Kaydan.
