David Lee passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 3, 2021 at the age of 83.

David is survived by his 3 children: Frank, Keith (Jennifer), Tammy (Melvin) and his 3 grandchildren: Kaleb, Vanessa, and Sophia.  He is preceded in death by his wife Lei Yong (nee Yee), his mother Mei Suen (nee Leung), his father Park Ho and his beloved grandparents.

David was born on July 1, 1937 in Hoy Ping, Guangdong, China. He arrived to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1951. He was raised by his grandparents.  After attending the University of British Columbia, David worked for CP Rail as a railway telegrapher travelling extensively through British Columbia. After two years, David left his CP Rail job before joining the Lee family business that ran the Vancouver based Dragon Inn Restaurants. He married Lei Yong in 1964. In the following few years, the couple welcomed three children into their home.  Later on, David became a “hands-on” grandfather.  He loved his grandchildren very much; we will miss you Grandpa! He was remembered as a kind, gentle, sweet, loving and generous man who encouraged others to pursue their goals.  He was always willing to offer a helping to family and friends that needed help in translating and dealing with important paper work.

A small private viewing is scheduled for Tuesday June 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Kearney Funeral Services 219 - 6th Street, New Westminster, BC. Due to BC provincial health restrictions, the viewing is reserved for family and invited guests.  A grave side service will follow at 1:15 PM at Ocean View Burial Park, West Superior area, Burnaby, BC.
