Passed away peacefully in Vancouver, BC at the age of 74. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Renata and his two sons Lorenzo and Christian.
Dario was born in Benevento, Italy and grew up in Rome during WWII. He began his career in the hospitality industry, working in some of Rome’s most elegant hotels on the Via Veneto. He soon moved into the airline business where he spent much of his youth at Air France traveling the first intercontinental routes of the times from Europe to Africa, the Americas, Asia and the much of the Middle East.
His managerial skills soon propelled him into executive positions at Iberia Spanish Airlines where he worked for 35 years. Dario was educated as a CA and was eventually awarded the title of Cavaliere from the Prime Minister of Italy for his years and devotion as a key figure in the travel industry.
Dario was a true citizen of the world; fluent in 4 languages having lived all over Europe and North America. All that knew him will remember him as the elegant Italian gentlemen with a great sense of humor and charm, but above all, Dario was absolutely devoted to his wife and sons. He was a father who loved and supported his son’s unconditionally and cherished his wife beyond words.
