Daphne Sinclair, 89, passed away suddenly from a stroke on Sunday May 30, 2021.

She was born on November 7, 1931 in Upton, Norfolk, England.  She trained as a nurse and mid-wife, then moved to Canada in the 1950s where she married and had four children.  After her divorce in 1972, she raised her family on her own and worked as a nurse at Burnaby Hospital for 25 years.  Her children are so grateful to her for her care.

She was predeceased by her brother Geoffrey and parents Molly and Leslie.  She is survived in Canada by her children, Peter, Judy (Dan), Jennifer (Yang), Anne, grandson Lucas, step-grandson Silviu, and in England by sister-in-law Nicole, nephews Frederic and Oliver, and niece Isabelle.

Daphne was very active in gardening, quilting and sewing clubs, and choirs throughout her long and happy retirement. She had lately become a member of Gordon Presbyterian Church.

She had a great sense of humour and was full of courage and strength.

The family wishes to thank Drs. Jamal, Guy, (Hugh) Lee and Morton at Burnaby Hospital who took such wise care of her at the end.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church (403 Columbia Street East, New Westminster, BC) on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
