It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad. The echo of his laughter still resonates in our hearts and minds. Our stomachs grumble for one more of his legendary steak and caesar salad dinners. Our bodies pine for another warm and reassuring hug that began and ended each visit. The list goes on...

He lived in the west end of Vancouver for the last four decades. He enjoyed the simple luxuries that his community offered such as watching the sunset on English Bay while sitting at his bench. He enjoyed cruising in his 55 T- Bird up Denman street or spinning around Stanley Park in his convertible Cadillac (with his two boys riding ever so regally in the back seat.) He loved good conversations and dinners with his friends during his time on Beach Ave.

Dad enjoyed all kinds of sports and was a top notch athlete in his youth. He curled, played rugby, baseball, hockey and football. He excelled at all of them. His passion was golf and he was lucky enough to shoot a hole in one on several occasions. He was skilled enough to card scores in the 60's.

Dad had an ironclad determination and was a fighter until his last breath escaped him. He had a passion for life and took pride in his independence. Although he was burdened by physical challenges for the latter part of his life, he heroically tackled them head on. Never once did we hear him complain.

Cliff was a good friend, a loving father and will be sorely missed by all of those he came in contact with. Take comfort in knowing that he is driving for show and putting for dough on the big fairway in the sky.

We are going to miss those pizza Sundays...
