It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Claude Albert Bruce Beaudry, on the 20th of October, at the young age of 61. Claude leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years Jacqueline (Gloanec), his two children Reid and Madison, and his daughter-in-law Sophie (Hurworth). He is survived by his brothers Gilbert and Wilfred and sisters Monica and Elaine. He was a resident of the Tsawwassen community for 27 years where he actively participated in Search and Rescue and community enhancement projects. Since 1994, Claude dedicated his professional career to B.C Ferries, where he made a significant impact and forged unbreakable bonds with his colleagues. Claude was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved around army bases in Western Canada before settling in North Delta in 1969. He later lived in Surrey and joined the military as an artillery gunner in 1981. He completed his chef’s training in 1991, which took him on many adventures including working in remote fishing camps, the Olympics, and aboard yachts before settling into a long career at B.C Ferries where he enjoyed working among friends. Claude had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel, including a life-changing trip to Africa. He was a devoted father and worked hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. Claude was best known for his sense of humour and for his caring heart. He was the uncontested family champion of Scrabble, a talented artist, and a resourceful builder.

To honour Claude's life and the joy he brought to those around him, a prayer service will be held at Sacred Heart Parish in Ladner on November 7th at 7 p.m.  The following morning, a Funeral Mass will take place on November 8th at 10 a.m.  Following the Church service, we invite you to join us for a reception in the neighbouring Parish Hall, where we can celebrate Claude's life together.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that you consider making a donation to the Red Cross as they support peace initiatives which Claude deeply cared for.  May Claude's memory forever be a guiding light, inspiring us to live life to the fullest and cherish every moment with those we hold dear.
