My dear wife and mother of a daughter and Tyson. Christel Herzog died peacefully on January 17th, 2013 at 9 pm. She suffered for 10 years from the results of a stroke and kidney disease. Christel led an active life and managed the household and aspects of my business right up to her final week. She was loved by all of us and many friends for being thoughtful, loyal and uncomplaining. Christel has traveled in over 40 countries, always by herself and with modest means.
She studied history, religions and current affairs with a passion and always managed to make donations, even when we were short of funds. She had always preferred walking to driving, but after the stroke, she could only walk short distances with difficulty. We had been married for 45 years and always lived in Vancouver,BC. Christel was born in Osnabrueck ,Germany. She was a stewardess with Lufthansa and later with Air Canada, when I met her. We shared music and literature and enjoyed the same friends and foods. She lived to be seventy years old. We will always treasure memories of her as a personality with a loving heart.
Fred, and Tyson Herzog
