It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Carmelo Ludovico Renzullo, who passed away peacefully in his family home on October 26, 2022, in his 89th year.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 62 years, Raffaela, (née Crescenzo), daughter Frances (Joe) children Francesco, Simona (Gianluca) and Alessia; son David (Lina) children David Jr., Annalisa and Raffaele; daughter Lisa (Piero) and children Pierluigi, Luca, Francesca and Andréa; daughter Tracey and children Christian, Stefania and Julian; daughter Mirella (Franco) and their daughter Valentina, son Carmelo Jr. and sons Carmelo III and Salvatore.

He is predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Francesca, in-laws, Alfonso and Agnese Crescenzo, brother Aniello, sister Maddalena (Frank), brothers-in-law Alfred and Angelo, sisters-in-law Letizia and Assunta and many other relatives and dear friends.  Remaining in mourning are sisters Concetta and Maria, sisters-in-law Michelina and Nina, brothers-in-law Francesco and Tony, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, both here and in Italy.

A true family man, Carmelo knew no greater joy than being surrounded by his loved ones, all of whom were his life’s priority. His strong work ethic and constant quest for knowledge set the finest example for his children and continues to this day in the lives of his beloved grandchildren. Leaving his military career behind, he departed from Episcopio di Sarno in 1960 and settled in his adopted home of Vancouver for a better life. There, many eventually encountered Carmelo through the enterprise by which he came to be so well known. At Renzullo Food Market, which he founded together with his wife Ella in 1964, he shared his passion for all things Italian – from food to politics to soccer – with many other hard working Italian immigrants, a part of his immense legacy that remains. Soon after, they established Renzullo Importing and finally San Remo Food Importers.  Well beyond this, the cherished memories of Carmelo shall always remain dearest to us, his loving wife, children and grandchildren.  Eterna Fedeltà alla mia Città. Forza Napoli!
