Sadly, we announce the passing of Brian at the Langley Hospice after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Brian was a man of profound integrity and dedicated his life to his family, his faith, and his community.

Brian achieved a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and ended his career with the Township of Langley in 2009. He was also very committed to his community and, over the years, volunteered at the Salvation Army’s Gateway of Hope, Thrifters’ Paradise for Domestic Abuse Services, served on the Langley City Crime Prevention Committee, and his strata council. He was also very active at St. Nicholas Parish.

According to Brian, the moments closest to his heart were his marriage to Pam, the adoption of their daughter Kwee, and welcoming their two grandsons, Quentin and Mikaih.

Brian leaves behind Pam, his wife of 50 years, their daughter Kwee and grandsons Quentin and Mikaih; also, his sister Barbara Pfannstiel (Bob) and his nieces Laurie Stancovici (Dalibor)and their children Carson, Maelle and Lachlan; and Lisa Lofts (Aaron) and their children Tyler and Connor.

We are comforted knowing that Brian now rests in the arms of our Lord. The funeral mass was held at St. Nicholas Parish in Langley on Tuesday, June 11th followed by entombment at the Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey.
