Brian passed away, surrounded by his family, on March 19, 2022, after a hard-fought struggle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Dallas, his children, Mercedes (Andrew), Isolde (Sergei), Chris (Karen); grandchildren Olivia, Ilya, Isla, Leigh, and Trace. He also leaves behind his mother, Jean Kerr, his siblings Randy (Sandra), Greg, and Valerie, sister-in-law, Juliette, and ex-wife, Mona. He is predeceased by his father, William Dunphy, and his brother, Robin.
Brian was a lifelong Boston Red Sox and Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He had a long career, working for Liquid Carbonic, Imperial Oil, and finally as the owner of Trans Canada Truck Stop in Chilliwack. In his retirement, he enjoyed a full life; travelling, reading, playing hockey, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He will be sorely missed by many.
A Ceremony of Remembrance will be held in New Westminster and will be live streamed. Please contact the family at Briandunphymemorial@gmail.com for details.
