A poet at heart, a lumberman by trade, Berny had a passion for the
finer things in life; his family and friends, good food, great music and an excellent ‘Red’.

Berny was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Renee Power, and his brothers Joseph and Myles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Monique, and cherished daughter, Emmaline, his 15 siblings; Lois (Bob), Ronald (Jan), Lorraine (Paul), Trish (Pat), Frances, sister-in law Dawn, Patrick (Connie), Helen (Ron), Maureen (Kim), Stephen (Patsy), Emmett, Martin (Evelyn), Desmond (Karen), Kelly (Keith), Brian (Susan), Brendan (Bill). Many, many nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces. He will also be missed dearly by Monique’s family (the Lamberts), the gang at Mill & Timber, and numerous close friends.

Although a life much shorter than one hoped for,  with his many challenging health issues,  Berny showed tremendous grace and strength throughout.

Many thanks to the BMT staff at VGH, Dr. Nantel and the highly-skilled nurses that helped make his struggle bearable.

Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church,   315 Walker St,
Coquitlam, B.C. at 4:30PM Friday April 27th.
