Bartolome Torres Serrano

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bartolome Serrano, at the age of 61, on January 26th, 2025.

Born on August 24th, 1963, in the Philippines, he moved his family to Canada in 1995 with the determination to give his wife and daughters the best life he could provide.

Bart is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Princess Serrano. May they both find eternal rest. He is survived by his wife, Angela Serrano, daughter, Alyanna Serrano, son-in-law, Marco Di Spirito, and grandson, Alexander Di Spirito. 

His joyful attitude in life and unwavering optimism has touched many lives. He loved cracking jokes and was exceptionally good at finding hope and happiness in all situations. His smile was infectious to all who were lucky enough to have shared in his life. He was taken too soon but will be dearly missed by all.

Prayer Vigil will be held on February 4th from 7:00-9:00 PM at St. Helen’s Parish 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, followed by a Funeral Mass on February 5th at 11:00 AM.
