It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Fusco.
He was surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren and called to rest in heaven on October 30th, 2021. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud Nonno to 6 grandchildren. Antonio Fusco was born on May 25, 1942, in Tricarico, Italy. He eventually moved to Canada for a better life. He was predeceased by his father, Nicola, and mother Margherita, brother Raffaele, sister Rosa, and sister Angela. He leaves behind his dedicated and loving wife of 54 years, Filomena, his children, daughter Margherita (Dino), son Nicola (Eva), son Paolo, and daughter Marisa (Sarbjit), his grandchildren, Joseph, Caterina, Antonio, Giulia, Stefania, and Kayden, his siblings, brother Rocco (Teresa), sister Anna, sister Carmela, and sister-in-law Melina, zia Isabella, and his nieces and nephews.
Antonio prided himself on hard work and strong family values. He was the do it right-now man, when something needed to be done there was no waiting around. He was proud of having the best wine, homemade sausages, and garden. He loved to host get-togethers with his family and friends, sharing his wine and food. Antonio loved to sing and dance the night away; we know you are dancing in heaven. He will always be remembered for his strength, kindness, wise words, influential ways, and being the family rock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 525 S. Slocan Street, Vancouver, B.C. followed by entombment at Ocean View Burial Park-Abbey Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and greatly appreciated by the family.
“You may be gone from our sight, but never gone from our heart.”
