Tony passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospice, surrounded by
the love of family.Tony is survived by his wife of 58 years Helen, sons Stephen (Denise) and
Gerald (Melissa), and daughter Clare (Will), his grandchildren, Ian, Clare,
Liam, Brendan and Michaela, along with great granddaughter, Mayson.
Tony was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved his family to Canada in
1966, first settling in Powell River, BC and then moving to Surrey, BC in
1977.Tony was an electrician who worked for in the mill in Powell River and later
with the B.C. Highways Department when he relocated to the lower
mainland.Tony’s passion for life shined brightest when around people. His pastimes
included soccer, coaching many teams throughout the lower mainland,
singing, which included in the church choir at Our Lady of Good Counsel
and his beloved golf game as a member of The Fort Langley Golf Club.
Prayers will be held at Our Lady of Good Cousel Church, Surrey, B.C. at 7:00pm, Thursday Nov. 8th with service at 11am on Friday, November 9th. Rest in peace, Dad, you are forever in our prayers and in our thoughts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC
or the Langley Hospice Society.
