Anne passed away peacefully August 9th at Chalmers Lodge, her home in Vancouver for the past 3 years.

Anne was born in 1922 in Glasgow, Scotland, but grew up near Kitsilano Beach, a place she loved and visited often. Anne graduated from Kitsilano High School and worked with Vancouver City's planning and health departments for 31 years. Anne was a member of the City Hall choir, the National Association of Secretaries, and a lifetime member of Brock House.

Anne enjoyed golf, travel, local music, and theatre. Even in her 90's Anne was an avid reader, kept up with current events and always saw the latest movies. Anne's memory was prodigious and "Ask Anne. She'll know" was a familiar refrain. She was the family contact and historian. Always stylish and well-turned out, her berets, gloves, and colourful accessories were her hallmark.

Anne will be missed by her nephews Douglas and Stephen, nieces Linda (Michael), Kathleen (Bob), Gwyneth (Dan), great-niece Christina (Allen), and great-nephews Simon and Trevor. Anne is predeceased by her parents James and Mary, brother Bob, sisters and brothers-in-law May and George Kibble, and Ella and Frank Young.

A Celebration of Anne's life will be held at Mountain View Cemetery's Celebration Hall (39th & Fraser) September 3, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
