McMaster, AnnaRuth

September 12, 1920 – May 1, 2020

Mom died peacefully at home in her 99th year. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2014, her parents, Dean and Mrs. JN Finlayson, her brothers Nory and Edward and her many devoted dogs.

Mom was born in Winnipeg and completed her education at Lord Byng High School and at UBC. Prior to her marriage, she served in WWII in the Army. After raising her 5 Sons, she worked at Burnaby General Hospital and UBC Hospital where she established the first Social Work Departments.

She liked to travel and did so up into her late 80’s. Summers were always at Anvil Island and winters were spent in the small Mexican town of Melaque.

She is survived by her 5 sons: John, Robert, Alan, Ken and Mark, her daughter-in-laws, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A long and happy life. Rest in peace dear Mom, Tutu
