Anna Adriana Cornelia Van Geel

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Van Geel family announces the sudden passing of Anna Van Geel in Langley, BC. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband William and daughter Connie. She will be deeply missed by her children Jon (Susan), Ed (Linda), Mike, Rich (Joanne), Wayne (Cindy); 12 grandchildren. Michael (Katie), Steven (Kathryn), Bradley, Kyle, Jeffrey (Hailey), Mark (Kelsey), Lexy (Kyle), Stephanie, Matthew, Mitchell, Garrett, Vanessa; 7 great-grandchildren Landon, Simon, James, Lewis, Shay, Dallas, Weston and many friends and family members.

Anna was born in Zevenbergen, Netherlands and was the youngest of 11 siblings. She immigrated to Canada with her husband Bill in March 1957 and took up residence in B.C, where they worked, raised their family and retired. Anna will be remembered for the unconditional love of her faith, family and friends. Her tireless contributions to her church, cherished time spent with her many grandchildren and her quiet times knitting, crocheting and her most favourite pastimes of gardening and puzzling. 

Prayers will be offered from St. Joachim and Ann Catholic church, 2827 – 273rd Street, Aldergrove, January 16, 2025, at 6pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on January 17, 2025, at 11am with a reception to follow. Anna will be laid to rest at the Gardens of Gethsemani at 2:30 p.m.

 In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the heart and stroke foundation in Anna’s memory.
