Anna Lupynis, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 into the welcoming hands of our Lord, with her children by her side.
Anna was born in Stoyaniv, Ukraine on November 12, 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1960 where she met Stefan, her husband of 60 years. Together they put down roots, establishing a good life for their children and devoting themselves to their parish community. Anna lived her life with strong faith and a deep fondness of her homeland. She was an avid gardener and exceptional cook and baker, who enjoyed sharing these passions with her family.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Stefan and is survived by her children Iryna Laschuk (George) and Eugene Lupynis (Dana) and her beautiful grandchildren Marko, David, Natalia (Nykolai) and Emelia.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 9:30 am at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 550 West 14th Ave. Vancouver. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (www.cufoundation.ca) or St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.
