It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and Nonna Alice on December 26, 2020. She passed on quietly at her place of residence in Vancouver in the company of her family at her side. Alice was born in Cavarzere, Provinca di Venezia, Italy on August 14, 1925. However, her family origins came from Maser, Provinca di Treviso. She was predeceased by her husband Riccardo Tessari and granddaughter Christina Wagner. Alice leaves behind her son Franco, and daughter Edda Wagner (Donald), and her granddaughter Melissa Coleman (Michael). We are all comforted to know that Alice is now in heaven with Riccardo and her granddaughter Christina.
Alice will be greatly missed, but forever remembered in our hearts and memories. Alice was truly a sweet and caring person, she loved meeting new people and she was loved by all persons who would meet her. She was always ready to help out people with gardening and pruning advice. Alice truly taught us the value of hard work but in a committed and happy manner. She always made time to make a beautiful garden and flowers wherever she lived. She always valued the gift of the garden. To see something grow well was love in itself. The garden had to be worked and maintained to yield well.
The garden could be thought of as another metaphor for life itself. She also loved making lots of white Cala Lily flowers and other plants that she endlessly gave away to all who wanted them.
“When we lose someone we love, we hurt deep inside, but the beautiful times and memories of love can never be taken away ……….. they live in us forever!
…….. Love never dies …….. Il Amore non muore mai”.
