Alice Elisabeth Henderson (nee Emmerich), my beautiful, kind, sweet, loving Mother left me on January 1, 2015.
Mom was born September 27, 1922 in Kamloops, BC. She married William Dodgson Henderson (Bill) on Valentine’s Day 1942 and they lived happily together for over 64 years in Kamloops, Vancouver and Calgary.
Her life was devoted to caring for Dad and me and she gave us the gift of her unconditional love and support. She was industrious, creative, fun loving, determined and the peace keeper of the family. She loved to garden and was especially proud of her tomatoes; she was also a great cook, seamstress, and our overall domestic goddess.
Alice was predeceased by the love of her life, Bill, on April 16, 2006 and she missed him every moment of every day. She was also the last of “the kids”, being predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters, Henry, Louise, Walter, Dorothy and Laura.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, and the much loved family pet Inga.
Mom, we will miss you and your beautiful smile always.
