Albert (Pee-Wee) was born in Treherne, Manitoba to parents Albert and Gabrielle (de Moissac).  Nurse Faulconer handed dad to his mother at birth saying, “Here is your little Pee-Wee”, giving dad his lifelong nickname.  Pee-Wee is survived by Wife Elizabeth, Sons Gary, Rick (Jackie), Grandsons Ty & Marc, Sisters Gisele (Ralph) Elam, Jeannine McTaggart, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews that he loved very much!

Dad lived 11 years in St. Claude Manitoba.  The family made their way to B.C. by train in 1950 and first settled in Port Coquitlam.   The Family then moved to the Sapperton neighbourhood of New Westminster.  Dad married the love of his life, Elizabeth, in 1965.  They settled in Surrey, B.C. and remained living in the City for their 55 years of marriage.

Dad loved softball, curling and all sports.  He was very proud of his “8 ender”.  Dad also had a hole in one!  I remember dad ALWAYS being there for my bowling tournaments and my brother’s lacrosse and football games.  He also came to almost ALL of his grandsons, hockey, ball hockey, baseball and bowling tournaments.  He took great pleasure coming to watch his sons and grandsons as much as he could.

There wasn’t a time you would find him without a smile.  He took life “easy” and always had something nice to say about everybody.  I don’t think you will find a more genuine person who loved those around him as much as Dad.

Finally, this is a wonderful tribute written by dad’s co-worker Blair Fulton.  This TRULY describes dad’s wonderful character.

“I worked with Pee-Wee for many years at Gold Creek camp.  We spent 48 hours together on our shift, working with some challenging behaviours, but you knew that working with Pee-Wee it was going to be ok with many laughs along the way.  I learned so much working with Pee-Wee (and Rick) about treating others with kindness, tolerance, and respect.  His laughter and ability to find a joke in the most trying situations was the essence of this wonderful man.  We need more people like Pee-Wee.  Salute!  Au revoir.”
