I had the pleasure of working with Manuela for several years and to know her as a friend. I enjoyed her sense of humour and her passion and respected her ambition and devotion to her family.

In this last year I saw her strength during her health battle. I admired her undying hope, her positivity during this adversity and her continued concern for her family.

You will definitely be missed Manuela. Your friends will never forget you and will celebrate you ongoing. The heavens are a little brighter now.

My condolences to her family during this difficult time.

May your days and nights be filled with peace,
And may those you love be near.
May the solace of that closeness
Banish any hint of fear.

May the joy you've had and brought to others
Fill your soul now with that light,
And the memories of happy times
Fill your dreams through darkest night.

For you've lent your strength to many.
You've upheld us in our strife.
Now let those of us who love you
Let you know just how your life

Has been a bright beacon
For you've shown us how to bear
With great dignity and courage
Both the bad times and the fair.

As a devoted family member
You have always been our guide.
As a friend there's been none better.
May you know all this with pride.

All our prayers and thoughts are with you.
May you feel their soothing grace.
May our care and loving hold you
Here within that sacred space.

And may God then grant you courage
When the time to fight is o'er
And be waiting for you smiling,
When you reach his lofty door.

For you'll be borne by angels
That our Lord has sent for you
And in wholeness be rewarded
All your pain will then be through.

Manuela was my first true friend when I moved to Canada. We clicked instantly. We laughed and joked and put the world right over pasta and desserts. We talked many stories about our nephews and nieces, we were always the adoring aunts. These past years did not see us meet up again as life takes over. One always knows they are there. When I saw the FB post I was very sorry to hear of her passing. She truly was shining light and loved her family dearly. Manuela, you have left a hole in many hearts, you will be missed. Rest in Peace, my friend, rest in peace.

I was very saddened to learn about Manuela's passing and my condolences to the family. She was a good friend who helped me with work for many years. She was both trusting and trusted and ready to help anyone who needed it which is a very rare thing to find. Always there with a ready laugh, and details on the faults of the Italian football team of course, I will miss her. She was really one of the good ones.
